If your sliding shower door won’t stay shut and rolls open slightly, the enclosure or sill is likely not level. This prevents the door from staying in place as designed.
For smooth, reliable operation, the enclosure and sill need to be level so the door can glide and close properly. Even a slight tilt can cause the door to drift open and may also affect the alignment of the top track.
You can check this with a bubble level. If the bubble is off-center, the unit is not level.
Delta® shower doors are designed to accommodate out-of-plumb (out-of-vertical) conditions, but they are not designed to correct an unlevel base.
